Film Fridays | June Edition

Shoot a roll of film and share the entire roll on the last friday of the month...its fridays! You can follow the entire group of us filmies by clicking on the blog links in each post. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone's film adventures. Grab an old film camera and start shooting :). This month I was experimenting with shooting in full sun and how much I intentionally overexposed my shots. My discoveries for this month...1.) I think I like really overexposed exposures, these were only overexposed by one stop and I think I would've been happy with a few stops more, 2.) I don't really care for shooting in full sun...I gravitated more towards my open shade shots,  and 3.) I'm kinda liking converting my color scans to bw these days...

Please don't forget to follow our blog circle by checking out what Hampshire children and family portrait photographer, Jenny Owen's might have learned film wise this month!

More, More, More...of Corey

as a lot of you know or maybe you don't know, i've been shooting a lot of film lately...a. lot. of. film. but i've also been shooting with my digital camera (for comparison purposes) as well. so as i anxiously await my film scans from richards photo lab, you can find me at my desk processing my digital images. it takes about a week to get my film scans back (pure torture), but  i inevitably end up loving those scans, like 100% better, yes dramatic I know, but true and very much worth the wait. i don't know what it is, maybe it looks more real to me...whatever it is, i think it's beautiful. okay, so i'll say this for the millionth time this year, i love film! film will definitely be in my bag from here on out! thanks for sticking with my rambling and getting this far!!! so on to what really matters...the cutest nephew coredawg!!! happy 5th birthday corey. love you & your big personality.

Photo Trips

my friend chris and i have been on a few trips now where we've kidnapped a few of our passengers, drive, see something that we like and then torture them by making them stand on hay bales (with haybees), in fields and even next to cows. keep a look out for may see us on the side of the road someday. if you do, pull over, visit and stay awhile. here's a few fun shots from our misadventures...and if anyone wants to go on one of our adventures with us, just let us know, we're more than happy to kidnap you too! the first set of shots are from our jamestown trip...beautiful lisa and chris' grandson ryder.

and a few from our oakdale trip w/chris' granddaughter, miss jasmine (okay the cow shot is my favorite here, just because the shot actually shows how scared i was to stand next to them cows)...

Wesley Smith Andrews

i sure do miss seeing kristen's big smile at work...but she's been a lil busy at home lately ;)...and i'm jealous (not the actual diaper changing part of it...but i do miss that blissful new baby feeling). i was so happy to finally meet precious lil wesley and had so much fun watching him wiggle and sleep his way through his session. thank you again jake & kristen for allowing me to capture a few memories of this special moment in your lives. i loved watching the two of you take care of your new guys looked like you've done this before :)!! enjoy this time together and give mr. wesley a big hug for me. xoxo
