Sundays, The Bloom Forum, 16 talented ladies, 52 weeks, 52 themes, 16 different interpretations = one inspiring year! Happy 2012!! This year I decided to challenge myself by joining 15 awesome Bloom Forum members on a year long photography journey. We have a "theme" for every week and get to interpret that theme through our photographs. The talented group of ladies that I'm joining this year will be posting their interpretations every Sunday...so I know y'all can't wait to see how my mind really works :). My plans (I'm writing this down as a reminder to myself :)) are to put all my posts together into a personal lil photo book at the end of this journey...looking forward to learning and growing from this project and everyone in my group! And don't forget to check out everyone's posts, links will be included at the end of each post.
Theme: new year Starting a new roll of film is like starting a new year. A fresh start, a new beginning, the excitement and fear of what's to come. I love the start of the new year and the smell of the beginnings of a new roll of film (I hope I'm not the only one who likes the smell of opening up a roll of 35mm????eeeeek!)...here's to the new year and the smell of film! oh and btw: I bought my husband the poor man's macro adpater for Christmas (the one that Brenda talks about here) and it is tricky, as you can see below just how little is in focus...but I've been having fun with it and happy to report that I love it...shhhhh...I might have to borrow it for a little while longer. Now head on over to Carrie Terrones, Las Vegas Photographer for her interpretation of this week's theme.
